Burgastai - Laoemyao autoroad border checkpoint resumes operations

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Starting from April 28, the Burgastai - Laoemyao auto road border checkpoint has resumed operations.
Although the border checkpoint was to run regular operations according to the intergovernmental agreement on Mongolia-China border checkpoints and their working regimes, the checkpoint had been closed since January 1, 2021.
The decision to re-open the auto road border checkpoint was made during a telephone conversation that was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg and State Councilor of the People’s Republic of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi on April 7.
