Commitment reiterated to expand Mongolia-U.S. relations

Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland in New York.
Minister
of Foreign Affairs B.Battsetseg expressed her satisfaction with the successful
organization of the 15th annual bilateral consultation meeting between the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the U.S. State Department and the
first strategic dialogue in Ulaanbaatar on August 24, noting that Mongolia is
committed to further strengthening the strategic partnership with the U.S.
Under-Secretary
Victoria Nuland emphasized that the U.S. is proud to be Mongolia's "third
neighbor" and a close partner, and reiterated the country’s commitment to
further expanding bilateral relations and cooperation within the framework of
the strategic partnership.
During
the meeting, the parties emphasized the expansion and development of relations
and cooperation between Mongolia and the U.S. in many fields and exchanged views
on issues such as cooperation in the field of renewable energy and regular
direct flights between the two countries. They also noted the importance
of increasing bilateral economic relations and investments and agreed to
initiate practical cooperation in this direction and take specific measures.
