Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Receives Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation

Ulaanbaatar, February 6, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai received Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk on February 6, 2024. The two sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues concerning relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the Russian Federation.


Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai emphasized that the development of friendly relations and comprehensive cooperation with the Russian Federation remains a top priority of Mongolia's foreign policy. He expressed satisfaction that comprehensive strategic partnership-based cooperation has been actively advancing in recent years.


The two sides agreed to intensify cooperation in the future in trade, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and humanitarian sectors, accelerate the progress of already agreed-upon projects and programs, and translate them into a reality. 


The Prime Minister of Mongolia expressed gratitude to the Government of the Russian Federation for its support in promptly resolving the supply disruptions of energy, gasoline, and diesel fuel in Mongolia in late December 2023.  


Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Alexey Logvinovich Overchuk, expressed a commitment to expanding and developing the traditional relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the Russian Federation. Also, the Deputy Prime Minister extended his willingness to intensify bilateral cooperation in energy, infrastructure, mining, banking, and education.
