Ulaanbaatar, November 18, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Summary of events for the week of November 18-24, 2024.

Events in Ulaanbaatar:

November 18: Parliamentary party groups will convene at the State Palace of Mongolia.

November 18: The Institute of History and Ethnology of the Mongolian National Academy of Sciences will organize the "Erdene Daichin Van's Khoshuu of Tusheet Khan Aimag: History and Culture" Scientific Conference.

November 18: The National Statistics Committee will present statistical indicators for the month of October of this year.

November  19-20: A session of the Standing Committees of the State Great Khural will convene.

November 19: The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Asian Development Bank, and World Bank will jointly organize a Business Opportunities Meeting.

November 20: A regular session of the Cabinet will be held at the State Palace of Mongolia.

November 20: The State Great Khural will organize a hearing on the topic “Implementation of the Human Right to Freedom from Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment” at the State Palace of Mongolia.

November 20: A press briefing on Student Visa issues will be held jointly with the U.S. Embassy in Mongolia at the “American Corner Mongolia” in connection with organizing International Education Week.

November 20: Cybersecurity training for journalists will take place.

November 20-21: The International Trade Center will host a training on “Branding and Digital Marketing.”

November 21: “Mongolia Begins from the Eastern Gobi,” a performance of the best songs from Dornogobi aimag will be held at the Central Cultural Palace of Mongolia.

November 21-22: A plenary session of the State Great Khural will convene.

November 24-27: The Mongolian Quilting Center will organize an event “Wonderland Illumination: Stitch into the Light!” in the “Event Room” of the Khan Bank. The event allows the visitors to discover winter wonders in 12 rooms and unveil the world’s largest tapestry with a Mongolian traditional pattern. Contact number: 99099930.

- Cultural Creativity Month is underway nationwide until the end of November.

-A special exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the People's Republic of China will be on display at the National History Museum until November 30, 2024.

-A special exhibition “Marco Polo, Khubilai Khaan, the Mongols” dedicated to the 700th anniversary of the passing of Marco Polo will be on display at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum until January 15 next year.


Local Events:

November 18: A capacity-building training for representatives of the Khovd aimag’s Citizens Representative Khural will be held.

November 20-25: As part of Cultural Creativity Month, a Training in Mongolian Traditional Folk Dance "Biyelgee" for western aimags will be held in Uliastai soum of Zavkhan aimag.

November 21-23: The “Steppe Horses” festival will take place in Chinggis city of Khentii aimag.

November 22: “Movement in Four Seasons” a joint performance by the artists of the Musical Drama Theaters of Bayan-Ulgii, Khovd, Zavkhan, and Uvs aimags will be held in Ulgii city.

November 23-30: “Color and Melody” a joint exhibition will be organized by the artists of the Zavkhan branch of the Mongolian Artists Union.

November 25:  The "Morin Khuur" concert will be held in Uliastai soum of Zavkhan aimag, where Morin Khuur players from Zavkhan aimag will perform the 20 best works of Morin Khuur.

November 25: A scientific conference "Mongolian Women-100 Years" will be held in Dundgobi aimag.
