Magnitude four earthquake happens in eastern area of UB
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A 4.4-magnitude erthquake struck Sharyn Am of Uliastai Valley, located in Bayanzurkh district of Ulaanbaatar, at around 17 pm of October 3.
Residents of Belkh, Shargamorit and Gachuurt--all around the city--heard raving sound and a strong vibration, the UB city people felt some tremor. No immediate damage was discovered during an emergency test, conducted by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on October 3 and 4, in the 25 buildings considered prone to earthquake.
This information was officially presented to the cabinet on Monday.
