“Mongolia and Mongolians” photo exhibition opens
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ "Gamma" photo agency opened such an exhibition February 3 and incorporated with it an opening of “Mongolia and Mongolians” booklet. The exhibition showcases photographs taken in 1870-1910 in Mongolia, now kept in the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of Saint Petersburg of Russia.
The event is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Russia. Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren gave the opening remarks. He thanked the President Ts.Elbegdorj for initiating the cooperation with the museum during his visit to Russia in 2011, and the Institute of History and Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences for preparing explanatory booklets.
The “Mongolia and Mongolians” exhibition will continue until February 21.
