Mongolia’s capital hosts its second IFLC
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ International Festival of Language and Culture (IFLC) took place in the Central Palace of Culture of Ulaanbaatar on May 21, attracting talented pupils from 13 different countries.
The festival is being organized here for the second time. “We, Mongolians, are delighted to welcome the children from every corner of the world under one roof and to have this prestigious cultural event. This is a token of peace and friendship”, said Deputy PM Ts.Oyunbaatar and thanked Elite and Empathy schools of Turkey for founding the initiative.
Memorial cup for IFLC was presented by cosmonaut J.Gurragchaa, the hero of Mongolia and the former Soviet Union.
First IFLC in 2003 was attended by children from 17 countries. It expanded throughout the globe, embracing young talents from 140 countries by 2014. Originally, the festival is held in Turkey. Since 2013, it began to take over different cities of the world.
This year, Ulaanbaatar received talented children from the USA, Turkey, Romania Russia, Denmark, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Tanzania, Tunisia, Belarus and Cambodia.
IFLC aims to safeguard the variety of cultural and traditional heritages by disseminating them to the world nations. It allows children to introduce and promote their own culture in order to strengthen cultural ties between peoples.
