Naadam spectators journeyed through history of Mongolia
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The opening ceremony for the traditional Naadam festival dedicated to the 2225th anniversary of the Mongolian statehood, the 810th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire, the 105 years of National liberation and the 95th anniversary of the People’s Revolution was impressive and magnificent, according to both Mongolian and foreign spectators.
The latter were overwhelmed with their journey back to the four remarkable milestones in the history of Mongolia, the cultural program of the opening ceremony brought them to. The program was staged by State Prize winner N.Naranbaatar, the principal director of the State academic theater of drama.
The Naadam spectator witnessed the foundation of the Hun empire under the rule of Modun Shanyu, meeting of Chinggis Khaan’s parents, birth of Temujin to be later crowned as Chinggis Khaan, the foundation of the Great Mongol Empire by Chinggis Khaan, great deeds of Bogd Khaan (last Khaan of Mongolia) and General D.Sukhbaatar, leader of the People’s Revolution.
Nearly 1500 civil and over 600 servicemen made the Naadam program happen in such a grandiose way to leave an everlasting memory.
