“Danshig Naadam-Khuree Tsam” religious festival opens
Art & CultureUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Danshig, the religious form of Naadam, officially commenced on August 5 with the Khuree Jakhar religious dance ritual (Tsam) at the Gandantegchinlen Monastery. The Danshig Naadam is to last throughout the coming weekend at Khui Doloon Khudag Naadam Complex.
The Danshig Naadam, originally restored by the UB City administration in 2013, incorporates a tourism exhibition, religious rites, ceremonial tributes to the State Nine White Banners, the reincarnation of the High Saint Zanabazar Gombodorj, wrestling matches, archery and horse races, as well as various tournaments among the Buddhist monks.
The Danshig will close at 21.00 of August 7.
