Preliminary Balance of Payments for July, 2016
Daily FinanceUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Current account totaled to USD 166.2 million deficit which is 43% or USD 125.3 million decline compared to the same period of the previous year. The change was mainly due to increase of USD50.8 million or 5% in goods account surplus, and decrease of USD 218.1 million or 35% in income account deficit.
Capital and financial account had surplus of USD 399.5 million which is declined by USD 111.3 million or 22% compared to the same period of the last year. The change was substantially due to decrease of USD 154.5 million in portfolio investment, reports the Bank of Mongolia (BoM).
