Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A livestock herder with her wife got lost on January 28 in a severe snow storm on the way back to their home from a neighbor’s in Sumber soum of Tuv (Central) province. The two immediately became unable to find their home and were numbed by the cold.

Their dog “Mishka” found his owners, laid on top of one and blew his warm breath to his master’s face. The dog spent the night with the two until the storm cleared and managed to save the husband. Unfortunately the wife died.

There is no doubt that Mishka would have saved the wife if he had the chance, say the locals Mishka remained with their owners on the snowy ground until the neighbors found them in the next morning.

The family have three children, with the smallest of them just turned nine months old.
