Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Following the confirmation of deaths of 17 mountaineers on Otgontenger Mountain, President Kh.Battulga, Speaker of Parliament M.Enkhbold and Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh offered their condolences on October 25.

“We offer our deepest sympathy to the families, friends and children of 17 mountaineers, who tragically lost their lives on Otgontenger Mountain.

We were greatly saddened to lose hope today as we were wishing for good news with all of you.

This tragic accident should serve as a lesson for all government or non-government organizations, voluntary unions and clubs that are engaged in hiking and climbing activities, especially a high mountain, to assess the risks, ensure safety and improve accountability.

We are confident that the fallen mountaineers, driven by their passion and dreams, were proud to have conquered the peak and themselves.

May their souls rest in peace and return to the Mongolian people,” the condolence letter reads.
