State Secretary attends Ministerial Conference on RECI

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ The 2nd Ministerial Conference on Regional Economic Cooperation and Integration (RECI) in Asia and the Pacific was held in Bangkok on 21-24 November. The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) co-organized the conference.
During the Conference ministerial and high-level government officials, representatives from International organizations as well as from private sectors and academia discussed about challenges and proposed recommendations to enhance RECI and opportunities to effectively support and contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. High-level government officials, representatives from international organizations and from private sector and academia adopted Ministerial declaration on enhancing regional economic cooperation and integration to support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Asia and the Pacific.
D.Davaasuren, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, participated as a key speaker in the Ministerial panel on the role of regional economic cooperation and integration in supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Asia and the Pacific and Policy Seminar on the Belt and Road Initiative co-hosted by ESCAP and China.
In addition, D. Davaasuren met with Shamshad Akhtar, Undersecretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Secretary of ESCAP and exchanged views on the issues related to Mongolia-ESCAP cooperation.
