‘Nomadic Empires of the Mongolian Steppe’ exhibition on display in Korea

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A special exhibition titled ‘Nomadic Empires of the Mongolian Steppe’ is on being display in the special exhibition gallery of the National Museum of Korea.
The Institute of History and Archaeology of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the National Museum of Mongolia and the Bogd Khaan Palace Museum are holding the special exhibition in cooperation with the National Museum of Korea on May 16 to July 17.
Dedicated to the 20th anniversary of ‘Mon-Sol’ joint scientific research project, the exhibition is showcasing 536 precious pieces that can represent history and culture of nomadic empires from prehistory to modern times.
Artifacts including tools and weapons date back to the Stone Age, jewelries, bronze household utensils, silver items with Greek-Roman mythological gods, golden crown of Turkic Bilge Khan and noblemen’s items date back to the beginning of the 17th century, queen’s costume are being exhibited. 90 exhibits of these pieces are included in Cultural and Historical Valuable Heritage of Mongolia.
