Quota of Vietnamese students to Mongolia raised

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 8, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports Ts.Tsogzolmaa received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Mongolia Doan Thi Huong.
During the meeting, the sides discussed organizational works of cultural days to be jointly organized by Mongolia and Vietnam in the frames of the 65th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The 3rd Biannial Meeting of Mongolia- Vietnam joint commission on Science and Technology was held in 2016 and the Minister noted that the 4th Meeting is planned to be organized in the fourth quarter of 2018.
In the scope of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Mongolia and Vietnam, 15 Mongolian students and five Vietnamese students are involved in student exchange program under intergovernmental scholarships annually. As for this year, Mongolia started submitting documents of 15 students to be involved in the student exchange program in new academic year of 2018-2019 to Vietnam.
Minister Ts.Tsogzolmaa said that Mongolia has raised the quota of Vietnamese students by two in new academic year of 2018-2019. In other words, seven Vietnamese students will be involved in student exchange program annually starting from 2018.
She also expressed her willing to send Mongolian information technology teachers to Vietnam to exchange experiences, get familiarized with new innovation and solutions of science and technology, implement joint projects and exchange teachers.
Ms Doan Thi Huong thanked the Minister for receiving her and expressed pleasure that they talked about all opportunities to cooperate in education sector.
