Joint exhibition of Mongolian and Japanese artists opens

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Dedicated to the 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, an exhibition entitled 'Shizuke' or ‘Judag’ was opened at ‘Norpei’ art gallery on July 30.
The exhibition presents calligraphy works by 14 artists from Mongolia including State Honored Cultural Figure, poet G.Mend-Ooyo, Master of calligraphy D.Batbayar, calligraphers B.Khishigsuren, D.Ganbaatar, L.Tuvshinjargal and Ts.Tamir in addition to representatives of Japanese politicians, writers and artists such as Former President of Japan Post Bank Seijiro Adachi, Member of House of Representatives of Japan Ando Takao, Former Deputy Chief of Cabinet Secretariat Ishihara Nobuo and Head of Japanese Ethic Society Ito Naoko.

“This is the 5th exhibition being displayed with Japanese artists. Previously, the opening of the exhibition was attended by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his mother, President of Mongolia and Japanese and Mongolian artists in Tokyo. We also held exhibitions in collaboration with artists of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea and plan to organize Calligraphers’ Exhibition of Asian Countries”, said S.Khurelbaatar, Head of the Mongolian Modern Calligraphers Association.
The exhibition will run for three days.
