Statue of honored writer Ts.Damdinsuren unveiled

A statue for Mongolia’s three-time State Prize Laureate, prominent author and linguist
Ts.Damdinsuren was unveiled at Garden Park on May 6.
Present
at the ceremony were Ts.Khulan, Cultural and Religious Policy Advisor to the
President of Mongolia, S.Amarsaikhan, Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of
Ulaanbaatar, prominent authors and poets including D.Tsoodol and D.Turbat and
other officials.
Ts.Damdinsuren produced prose and literary
studies, and a translation of ‘The Secret History of the Mongols’ into modern
Mongolian. He wrote the text to the National Anthem of Mongolia. This year
marks 111th birth anniversary of the prominent linguist.
