Global Partnership for Education to provide USD 5 million as non-refundable aid

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Education and Science L.Enkh-Amgalan and the ministry’s officials are currently attending the RewirED Summit taking place in Dubai, UAE between December 12 and 14. On the sidelines of the summit, the minister held a meeting with Chair of the Board of Directors at Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Jakaya Kikwete and other officials to exchange views on cooperation.


The sides discussed an additional financing of USD 5 million as non-refundable aid for implementing measures aimed at students that have fallen behind due to the pandemic situation, providing support for distance learning, supporting inclusive education by building the capacity of elementary and middle school teachers, and standardizing food production at schools. 

 

The project will support the implementation of the ‘2021-2030 Mid-Term Plan for the Development of the Education Sector’ over the course of three years from 2022 to 2024.
