Infrastructure Construction Continues at Hunnu City

Ulaanbaatar, September 18, 2025 /MONTSAME/ In line with the General Development Plan for Ulaanbaatar City until 2040, Hunnu City is planned on 31,000 hectares in Sergelen soum, Tuv aimag, to reduce Ulaanbaatar’s concentration and promote balanced regional development.
The city is expected to house 150,000 residents and create 80,000 jobs, and also plans to include universities, a student campus, government offices, transport and logistics hubs, and an economic free zone.
As of today, the infrastructure construction at Hunnu city has progressed as follows:
Power supply works: 86 percent

Flood protection channels: 75 percent
