Ex-Im compositions in January
EconomyUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The decrease of 143.6 million USD or 30.4 percent in total exports in January mainly reflected the decrease in the exports of mineral products by 121.9 million USD. Decline in imports by 48.0 million USD or 19.5 percent was also due to the 27.8 million USD decrease in mineral imports 8.3 million USD decrease in steel, 5.2 million USD decrease in machines, electronics, their spare parts, and to 2.8 million USD decrease in plastics in January.
Exports of precious stones and metals occupied 86.9 percent of the total exports, while imports of these products and of machines, equipment and their parts made up 53.2 percent of the total.
