Ulaanbaatar, June 19, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The opening ceremony of the Electronic Textbook Library, implemented by the National Digital Library of Mongolia (NDLM), initiated by the National University of Mongolia (NUM), was held on June 15 at the Library of the National University of Mongolia.

As part of this project, rare textbooks in the fields of mathematics and natural sciences, written by over 30 academics and teachers, are now accessible online at no cost. Educational researchers have emphasized that the online textbook distribution project is vital for enhancing the quality of education.

Ms. B. Batjargal, the Vice President for Academic Affairs at NUM, stated, "The textbooks that have been distributed to the public were carefully reviewed and selected by the core professional departments of the university, ensuring academic excellence. We have a wide range of textbooks prepared for future releases. Through this project, we aim to provide free access to high-quality courses to individuals in local and rural areas via our website."

Professors, researchers, and education experts believe that the e-textbook project will have several benefits, including increased accessibility, enhanced cooperation, reduced learning costs, and improved education quality.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education and Science L. Enkh-Amgalan, President of the National University of Mongolia D. Badarch, Founder of ESAN LLC Munkhtuvshin Tsagaan along with professors, scientists, textbook authors, and intellectual property owners.
