Ulaanbaatar, July 3, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The Asian/Pacific/African Powerlifting and Bench Press Equipped and Classic Championships 2023 concluded with great success at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong, spanning from June 23 to 30. The Championship saw athletes from 27 nations gather to test their extraordinary physical prowess and determine their standing in the powerlifting world.
In the fiercely contested +120 kg classic bench press category, Mongolia's own Ankhbayar Damdin stood out by flawlessly lifting an impressive 220 kg, ultimately claiming the coveted title of Asian Champion.
It's worth noting that Ankhbayar, who currently serves as the Supply Manager of the Housing and Utilities Department, is no stranger to victory, having previously attained the magnificent titles of World Champion in 2014 and Powerlifting World Champion in 2022. His remarkable achievements in the realm of powerlifting continue to solidify his reputation as an exceptional athlete.
