Four Aimags Celebrating Their 100th Anniversary

Ulaanbaatar, July 26, 2023 /MONTSAME/. The oldest four aimags of Mongolia are celebrating the 100th anniversary of their establishment in late July. Specifically, Tuv, Arkhangai, Zavkhan and Khentii aimags are marking their anniversary on July 27-28.
The 100th-anniversary celebration of the aimags started with a celebratory meeting, conferring State orders and medals to outstanding figures
of the aimags, who were awarded by the decree of the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh
Ukhnaa.
During the 100th anniversary celebration various events, including parades, shows, exhibitions, concerts, and Cultural Naadam are taking place in the center of the provinces, involving cultural and art heritage bearers and children from the soums of the aimag.
Besides the five aimags, some soums such as Erdene-Dalai, Delgertsogt, Khuld, and Delgerkhangai soums of Dundgobi aimag also are marking their 100th anniversary this July.
