Nursery with Annual Capacity of 500 Thousand Saplings Established

Ulaanbaatar, September 20, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Minister of Climate Change and Environment of Mongolia Odontuya Saldan participated in the commissioning of a mechanized tree nursery with an annual capacity of 500 thousand saplings and seedling in Tsogt-Ovoo soum of Umnugobi aimag.
The Oyutolgoi company is implementing a One Hundred Million Trees program aims at preparing seed stockpiles and investing in the infrastructure of tree nurseries for forestry. The company plans to establish 10 mechanized and fully equipped tree nurseries, five of which are to be built in Khanbogd, Tsogt-Ovoo, Manlai, Bayan-Ovoo, and Servei soums of Umnugobi aimag.
