Political Consultation Between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Oman

Ulaanbaatar, December 19, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The first Political Consultation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman was held on December 9, 2024, in Muscat, Oman.
The Consultation was co-chaired by A. Anand, Director of the Department of the Americas, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and Sheikh Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Hosni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department of the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman.
The two sides underlined that the first consultative meeting has been conducted following up the official visit of Badr Albusaidi, Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman to Mongolia, discussed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields such as politics, defense, trade, economy, investment, mining, energy, tourism, agriculture and education. In this regard, to facilitate business ties and tourism opportunities, the two sides agreed to appoint respectively Honorary Consuls in the near future.
Mongolian delegation has also been received by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Issa Alharthy, Undersecretary for Political Affairs of the Foreign Ministry of Oman. At the meeting, the parties exchanged views on expanding Mongolia-Oman relations as well as international and regional issues of mutual interests.
