Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia Meets with the EBRD Resident Representative in Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar, January 30, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Under the auspices of President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the "Climate Change: Billion Trees" Sustainability Forum is planned for June 2025, aiming at convening policymakers, experts, and researchers from Asia and the Altai region.
A Working Group in charge of organizing the Forum has been established, which is headed by Deputy Chairman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia and the Head of the Nature Protection and Conservation Group of the Parliament Bulgantuya Khurelbaatar. As part of the preparatory work, meetings were held withrepresentatives of international organizations this week.
On January 29, 2025, Deputy Chairman of the State Great Khural Bulgantuya Khurelbaatar met with Resident Representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Mongolia Hannes Takacs.
At the meeting, the two sides emphasized the importance of the Sustainability Forum and presented Mongolia’s successful organization of the Trans-Altai Sustainability Dialogue in 2023 and 2024 in collaboration with Stanford University and the “Ban Ki-Moon Foundation for a Better Future,” in order to activate the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
