Meeting Held with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephulh

/MONTSAME/. During the General Debate of the 80th Session of the United
Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg
Batmunkh met with the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal
Republic of Germany, Johann Wadephulh.
The two sides noted that the
celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic
relations between Mongolia and Germany in 2024 opened a new chapter in the
history of the bilateral relationship. The two Foreign Ministers exchanged
views on active military, economic, trade, and investment cooperation, exploring
new partnership avenues, and empowering women peacekeepers based on the Strategic
Partnership established as an outcome of the visit.
The Government of Mongolia declared 2026 as the Year to Support Education. The two parties thoroughly discussed the organization of the “Chinggis Khaan and the History of the Mongol Empire” Mongolian-German joint exhibition in Berlin within the framework of the 100th anniversary of Mongolian-German education sector cooperation to be celebrated in 2026.
