Mongolia plans to start COVID-19 vaccination next week, total cases reach 2,383
At its 11 AM press briefing on February 15, Monday, the Ministry of Health provided the latest update on the coronavirus situation in Mongolia. A total of 33,219 people took COVID-19 PCR tests in the past 24 hours at various laboratories in Ulaanbaatar city and Selenge, Darkhan-Uul and Dornod aimags, and 32 people were newly diagnosed to have the virus.

WHO supports to strengthen national capacity of injury care
As part of WHO support to the Government of Mongolia to prepare the health sector for winter, essential medical equipment and devices for injury medical care worth 395 million MNT for primary and referral care levels were handed over to the National Trauma and Orthopedic Research Center (NTORC).

Erdenes Mongol pays out MNT 2.37 billion in dividends
Erdenes Mongol LLC, established in 2007 with a purpose to represent the Government of Mongolia in developing the nation’s strategically important mineral deposits, has transferred a total of MNT 2 billion 37 million to the Government’s Implementing Agency for Policy Coordination on State Property to pay for the distribution of dividends for 100 million shares for the first time in its operation.

Systems to trace plants, agrochemicals registration and control system in agriculture being introduced
Plant Origin tracing System and Agro-chemicals Registration and Control System have been developed by the Outcome 4/ VEGI/: Legal Framework project, funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by FAO. The systems were handed over to the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry (MoFALI) in August 2020.
