Kyrgyzstan to practice Mongolia’s automated election system

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, the  Minister of Foreign Affairs L.Purevsuren met with his colleague from Kyrgyzstan Mr Erlan Abdyldaev on October 1 and shared with him views on expanding the two countries’ cooperation on regional and international levels.

The Ministers highlighted an importance of the high-level interactions in the closer ties between Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. Mr Abdyldaev said Kyrgyzstan is introducing Mongolia’s expertise in operating election automated system to exploit it in parliamentary election in Kyrgyzstan.

Noting that Mongolia will be chairing the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) in 2016, the Mongolian FM suggested that Kyrgyzstan join this Institute and offered a cooperation.
