Cabinet meeting in brief

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. At its regular meeting on June 5, the Cabinet made the following decisions.

 

-Constructional work of a town of the oil refinery will begin in August this year. The town will comprise of a complex of 550-household apartment and office-service buildings. It will be fully equipped with infrastructure facilities and decorated with landscaping and green plantations.

 

- Chairman of the National Development Agency B.Bayarsaikhan was obliged to complete a final draft of the concessional agreement to be signed with an entity that offered to implement the management project for New Ulaanbaatar International Airport.     

 

-  With a purpose to reduce negative impacts of Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsukhait coal transportation on environment, the Cabinet tasked corresponding ministers and heads of agencies to conduct study and estimations on transporting coal in containers and report the study result to the government. It is considered possible to load coal into containers at mine site, transport it to Gashuunsukhait or Tsagaan khad border crossing and then transfer the containerized coal to another trucks for shipment to Gants mod border crossing of China.  

Moreover, the ministers and heads of agencies were assigned to scrutinize an issue on fixing coal transportation tariff in coherence with the transportation distance, and take measures to establish the standard tariff.  

 

-  The Cabinet made a decision to establish a project unit of the training and research center of professional staff of minerals sector, which will have an underground mine museum relied on Berkh mine.

 

-  With a purpose to implement ‘Joint statement on development of comprehensive strategic partnership relations’ signed by Mongolia and China, the Cabinet reorganized a working group responsible for ensuring preparations to organize ‘Mongolia-China Expo’ and coordinate public and private sector’s activities. Mongolia-China Expo will be held in Hohhot and Ulanqab cities of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China on September 6-10, 2019.
