National Book Festival to take place this weekend

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The National Book Fair is to be held on September 14-15 at Sukhbaatar square under the motto ‘Book is a path’.


Mongolians loving books will celebrate the festival for the 26th year in aims of enforcing the decree of the President of Mongolia on ‘Celebrating Book Festival’, promoting book publication and supporting public reading. The Book World NGO organizes the National Book Festival twice a year in spring and autumn, giving opportunities to readers to meet with writers and authors and selling books at discounted price.


Nearly 120 writers, entities and participants are registered to take part in the event. Deputy Chairman of Gorky Literature Institute S.F.Dmitrenko and renowned author A.P.Toroptsev are invited to the book festival. They will deliver presentations to students on topics ‘Modern Russian literature’ and ‘Juvenile literature’ in addition to holding special meeting with authors and presenting their works at the festival.


Moreover, honored guests will deliver presentations and share their experiences on the first day of the Book Festival. Head of 'Lantuun Dokhio' NGO Ch.Ganjavkhlan will make presentation on topic ‘How to become miraculous brother and sister?”, lecturer D.Geralmaa ‘Morning wonder’, G.Mungun ‘Create Yourself’, N.Enkhsaikhan and E.Misheel ‘How to make your children love books’ and B.Solongo ‘The 7 habits of highly effective people’.


The book festival will run between 11 am and 19 pm this weekends.
