Foreign Minister Holds Official Talks with Secretary for Relations with States of the Holy See

June 6, 2023 /MONTSAME/. On May 5, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia
B. Battsetseg held official talks with the Secretary for Relations with States
within the Holy See’s Secretariat of State Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher,
who is on an official visit to Mongolia.
During the talks, the sides
had an in-depth exchange of views on cooperation in the history, culture, and
health sectors. Minister B. Battsetseg briefly presented the "Vision
2050" long-term development policy and the "New Revival Policy"
of Mongolia and discussed ways to enrich the content of relations with the Holy
See.
Furthermore, the discussion
revolved around various global issues such as desertification, climate change,
and soil deterioration, and the sides reaffirmed their commitments to the
efforts of the international community.
The visit of Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher is the first high-level visit from the Holy See to Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
