MIAT Conducting Scheduled Flights to Domestic Destinations with Reduced Price

Ulaanbaatar, June 30, 2023 /MONTSAME/. MIAT Mongolian Airlines has started conducting its scheduled flights to domestic destinations in line with the Government’s goal to support tourism, revive domestic flights and reduce ticket prices.

 

The first scheduled flight was conducted in route to Ulaanbaatar – Khovd on June 30, reviving the domestic flight by MIAT airlines after 15 years.

 

MIAT, Mongolia’s flag carrier is now conducting scheduled flights to Choibalsan, Dalanzadgad, Murun, Uliastai, Bayankhongor, Altai, Khovd, Ulaangom, and Ulgii, with the frequency of 1-3 times in a week and with the reduced prices of 2-2.5 times.

 

Specifically, round trip ticket

·       to Khovd soum, Khovd aimag or Ulgii soum, Bayan-Ulgii aimag is MNT 810-902 thousand while it was MNT 1.5-1,7 million;

 

·        to  Ulaangom, Uvs  or Uliastai, Zavkhan is MNT 633-852 thousand;  

 

·        to Dalanzadgad, Umnugobi is  MNT 500-617 thousand;

 

·        to Murun, Khuvsgul is MNT 500-680 thousand;

 

·        to Altai, Gobi-Altai is MNT 733-852 thousand;

 

·        to Choibalsan, Dornod is MNT 537-617 thousand.

 

The Government has announced 2023-2025 as “The Years to Visit Mongolia” and within the framework of it the Government made the decision to revive scheduled flights of MIAT airlines to domestic destinations and conduct them with the reduced prices. To conduct the scheduled flights to domestic destinations MIAT airlines has wet-leased CRJ 200 from CEM AIR airline, operating in South Africa.
