Young scientists receive Minister’s scholarships
Society | EducationUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Education, Culture and Science L.Gantomor Monday granted ten young scientists scholarships for their innovations.
The scholarships have been given in accordance with a rule on supporting innovations of post-PhD degree scientific works. Each of the scientist's ten million Togrog will support his/her innovative scientific works, help to prepare for discoveries, promote a quality of the researches, launch researches at international level, and create new services and products guaranteed with copyrights. This year’s scholarships went to scholars from the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies at the Academy of Sciences, the Mongolian State University (MSU), the State University of Education, the University of Agriculture and the University of Medical Sciences.
One of the winners Dr E.Zanabazar works as molecular biology and genetics instructor at the MSU. He is running scientific works at the “Genedrabio” biotechnological company with USA-China joint investments on unveiling genetic code of human with low expenses. Another scholar Dr T.Azzaya from the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies is carrying out a research to determine mechanisms of creation and dissolution of greenhouse gas.
