PM holds meeting with Dornogovi people
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ During his appointment in Dornogovi aimag, the Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg organized a meeting with the local inhabitants at the “Saran Khokhoo” theatre to inform them about the progress of the Government Action Plan for 2012-2016.
Within 91 years--from 1921 to 2012--Mongolia built 2,964 km roads, whereas in the last three years, 2,720 km roads had been built. In frames of this, Dornogovi aimag is now connected to Ulaanbaatar by a paved road. As planned, 1,284 km road will be built in 2016, said the PM.
In the margin of the government housing program, housing apartments for 2,700 families were built in the recent years in the province. On the national level, 25 thousand families are moving to apartments each year.
Annual credit interest for herders have been cut by 40 percent, going down from 29.5 to 18.0 percent. Total of 17,557 outstanding loans have 1.5 percent monthly interest.
Gas prices in localities have decreased and become closer to those of Ulaanbaatar, he noted.
Present at the meeting were the Minister of Justice D.Dorligjav, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Sports S.Lambaa, and the Governor of Dornogovi P.Gankhuyag.
