Ambassador to Latvia presents diplomatic credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Latvia Mr N.Bataa Tuesday presented his diplomatic credentials to the Latvian President Mr Raimonds Vejonis, in Riga.

At the meeting after the presentation, the Ambassador conveyed to him greetings of the Mongolian President, after which the sides exchanged views on the Mongolia-Latvia relations.

The President of Latvia Mr Raimonds said he will participate in the 11th ASEM Summit, hoping that he will hold a meeting with his Mongolian colleague. 

President of Latvia paid an official visit to Mongolia in 2014, Mr Raimonds noted and affirmed that the President of Mongolia has been invited to Latvia.

Following the meeting with the President of Latvia, Mr Bataa met with Mr Gundars Daudze, a Vice Speaker of Latvia’s Saeima (parliament); Mr Karlis Sadurskis, the Minister of Education and Science; Mr Uldis Augulis, the Minister of Transport; and Ms Inga Skujina, the Acting State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During these meetings, the sides discussed a chance to develop the bilateral relations and cooperation in politics, trade, economy, road, transportation and agricultural spheres, considered concrete measures for realizing these goals and their legal basis. They also shared views on international issues and expressed a mutual satisfaction with an active cooperation within international organizations.
