Finance Minister B.Bolor attends Meeting of ADB Board of Governors
PoliticsUlaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Governmental delegation led by Mr Bolor, the Minister of Finance, took part in the 49th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors held on May 1-5 in Frankfurt, Germany.
In the course of the meeting, the Mongolian delegation met with Mr Takehiko Nakao, the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB); Mr Gaudencio S. Hernandez, the ADB executive director; and officials from international banking and financial organizations including the Credit Suisse Group.
The Finance Minister briefed about a present economic situation in Mongolia to the ADB leaders. Then he requested the latter to continue ongoing program and approve other programs and projects all of which charted to diversify the national economy of Mongolia, promote the private sector in Mongolia and assist in overcoming the current economic challenges without altering the social welfare policy.
The ADB authorities highlighted the policy and actions the Mongolian government pursues and takes are taken into consideration when deciding in favor of continuing the ADB ongoing programs and emphasized significance of finalizing Ulaanbaatar 5th thermal power station project documents.
