Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolian students presented their innovative solutions, experiments and ideas during the exhibition of Mongolian University of Science and Technology held on April 27. From among these brilliant creators of new generation, some remarkable innovations including anti-stroke Smartphone application, alcohol sensor and green house smart system were displayed on the exhibition.

One of the highlights was a stroke preventing Smartphone app that monitors human’s heart rate 24 hours a day. A heart rate increases a few days before a stroke. However, due to the difficulty of monitoring heart rates, many people become victims of stroke. Therefore, the application automatically measures the pulse, enabling anyone with a Smartphone to monitor their heart rate. Not only does the app determines your heart beat, it also informs your family and nearby hospital when in danger of a stroke, allowing immediate emergency medical services. N.Samdan, inventor of the app said “The application will develop further to check full diagnosis of their heartbeat and will allow the user to print out his diagnosis before visiting to a hospital”.

Another highlight was the alcohol sensor of Buyandelger, student at the School of Information and Communication Technology of MUST. This sensor connects to the car engine and prevents the car from starting up when the driver is drunk. Also, the device will have a feature that informs drunken attempts to the driver’s family and emergency medical service in the future. According to the innovator, Driver Alcohol Detection System for Safety was invented in 2016. However, this sensor is the first one in Mongolia.

Freshmen at the School of Industrial Technology of MUST has invented a fully automatic smart remote system of greenhouses. The system automatically configures watering, heating and cooling of a greenhouse, allowing vegetables to be planted without the need for a human. For instance, humidity sensor installed in the soil will configure the watering needed for the plants. The inventors Luvsandondov and Byambasuren informed that the system isn’t only for greenhouses, but it can also be used on houseplants.
