Best practices of health insurance fund spending to be introduced

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At the invitation of Minister of Health D.Sarangerel, delegates from Health Systems Division for the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Western Pacific are visiting to Mongolia.
Aim of the visit is to render technical assistance for tackling some issues including forming a responsible and effective health insurance organization protecting people from financial risk, financing state budget funding through health insurance and transferring into strategic purchasing system as the Health Ministry is now in charge of Health Insurance Fund.
Minister D.Sarangerel met the delegation today and discussed about how to use health insurance fund effective. The Minister noted that the Ministry puts prevention works for public health in priority. "Oral health is also very important. Therefore, we will focus on cavity prevention and treatment from early ages.
The delegates will work in Mongolia until January 26 and they will get acquainted with health system, policy targeted to public health, and data system to define directions to render assistance. Furthermore, specific plan of actions to be fulfilled within the framework of the Country Cooperation Strategy 2017-2021 will be formulated.
