'Under the turquoise sky’ film premiered at international festival

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. A film ‘Under the turquoise sky’ jointly created by IFI production and Nomadia Pictures of Mongolia with Japan’s ‘Magnetise Inc’ was premiered at the opening of the 68th International Film Festival Mannheim-Heidelberg, being held on November 14-24 in Germany.
Actor B.Amarsaikhan wrote the film and played a main role in the film together with Japanese famous actor Yagira Yuya, who is ‘Best actor award’ winner of the 57th Cannes Film Festival. 80 percent of the shooting was conducted in Mongolia whilst 20 percent ran in Japan. Post-production of the film was made in France. The film is expected to be screened for Mongolian and Japanese audience in 2020.
Among international film
festivals, it is the seventh oldest one and the most well-known film event in
Baden-Wuerttemberg. As a ‘Newcomer Festival’ it is specialized in
discovering new talented arthouse directors and renowned for its top-flight
selection – ‘It's quality not quantity that counts’ as its motto - that is
limited to about 50 films, which indeed have to be real premieres.
