The copper bucket with silver ornaments

Sukhbaatar /MONTSAME/. A series of rare, valuable exhibits being kept at the Ethnography Museum of Sukhbaatar aimag is being brought to you by MONTSAME National News Agency. This time, the series continues with the copper bucket with silver ornaments made by the famous craftsman M.Baldan-Osor. He made this work for the ‘10 Days of Culture and Arts’ event organized to promote Sukhbaatar aimag.
With three copper bands around it, the bucket has a copper lid and silver handle. Conch shells in the midst of curved patterns were crafted with silver at the top and bottom edges. In its middle, the five primary species of livestock is also crafted with silver between four petals as a frame. On the square plaque, it reads ‘10 of Culture and Arts of Sukhbaatar aimag’. As for its lid, it is decorated with a floral pattern with 7 petals in silver, with ugalz pattern (ornamental patterns with round curved grooves) in the middle.
