Annual review meeting of Mongolia’s Commission for UNESCO held
SocietyUlaanbaatar/MONTSAME/ On January 20, an annual review
meeting of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO was held in an online
format.
At the meeting, Minister for Foreign Affairs and chairwoman
of the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO B. Battsetseg emphasized significant
works done by the commission in 2021 in five key areas as education, science,
culture, information and communications. She also stressed that 2022 is an
important year to elevate cooperation between Mongolia and UNESCO to a new
level and make tangible results.
In connection with the updated UNESCO strategy and policy
document, Minister B.Battsetseg instructed the members of the commission to take
active part and work closely in revising and implementing the Memorandum of
Cooperation between the Government of Mongolia and UNESCO.
During the meeting, Secretary General of the commission S.
Boldsaikhan presented the performance of the Commission's 2021 plan, and it was
decided to approve the plan after reflecting views of the members of the
commission on the draft plan for 2022.
