Mongolia-Lithuania political consultation meeting heldPolitics
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The fifth political consultation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania was held on June 22 in Ulaanbaatar.
Ambassador and Director of the Department of Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Audrius Brūzga attended the meeting and held talks.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged information on the current social and economic situation of the two countries and the implementation of development goals. They discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and Lithuania, as well as regional and international organizations. For example, the two sides agreed to arrange reciprocal visits, seek opportunities to expand trade and economic relations between the two countries, and intensify cooperation in the fields of culture, education, and transportation.
The sides also agreed that the appointment of an Honorary Consul is important for the development of relations and cooperation, and said that they would make a decision in this regard in the near future.
