"Green fest-2022" Opens at Central Square

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. The “Green fest-2022” event organized under the “Don’t melt” motto against global climate change has been officially opened. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Mayor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar City, the Small and Medium Enterprises and Services Support Center, Orgilmedia Management LLC, Mungun Tsoi LLC, and international organizations are jointly organizing the event.
In the framework of this event, the organizers will
present art performances and special programs to the public every day until the
end of December 31 at Sukhbaatar Square. In addition, The Square is turned into
the New Year’s setting with a rink, an ice town, and light decorations. The
Christmas trees were decorated with 100% recycled materials by the youth of the
United Nations Children’s Fund, and the lights and polar bears were also
decorated with recycled materials.
Regarding the event, the Deputy Chairman in
charge of the social sector, green development, air, and environmental
pollution, Z. Tumurtumuu, said, “The Ministry of Environment and Tourism, and the Mayor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar City jointly planned to organize daily events
during the whole month of December, but needed to postpone due to unavoidable
circumstances. The event is officially back today, and there will be special
programs every evening. In addition to the lighting and decorations, we also
built an ice town and ice rink. We invite you to come every day at 08:00 pm until December 31.”
The events were arranged to create good memories while feeling the unique mood of New Year by taking photos with their families and friends near the ice town and light decorations. There will be food, drinks, and other souvenirs from small and medium-sized enterprises and service providers at shops. The cultural performances of the Green Fest-2022 event will last 30 minutes.
