Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the UN Meets UN Secretary-General

Ulaanbaatar, July 3, 2024 /MONTSAME/. Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres received Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Enkhbold Vorshilov in connection with his return to the home country.
Permanent Representative Enkbold Vorshilov expressed his
gratitude to the Secretary-General and United Nations Secretariat for all-round
support during his service for four years.
Enkhbold emphasized the official visit of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres to Mongolia in 2022 was a remarkable event in the relations between Mongolia and the United Nations, and noted that the statement of Secretary-General António Guterres ”Mongolia is a symbol of peace in the World of conflict” made during his official visit to Mongolia is imprinted in the souls of the people of Mongolia.
Moreover, Mr. Enkhbold informed the
Secretary-General on the preparation works for the World Women's Forum to be
held in August 2024, in Ulaanbaatar and the 17th Session of the Parties of
the Conference of the Parties (COP17) of the United Nations Convention to
Combat Desertification (UNCCD) to be held in 2026 in Mongolia.
