Prime Minister of Mongolia Appoints Ministers

Ulaanbaatar, June 18, 2025 /MONTSAME/. Prime Minister of Mongolia Zandanshatar Gombojav presented the nominees for Members of the Government to the State Great Khural on June 17, 2025.
Article 39, Section 4
of the Constitution of Mongolia states, “A member of the Government shall be
appointed, dismissed, and resigned by the Prime Minister upon presentation to
the State Great Khural and the President. A member of the Government shall take
an oath before the State Great Khural.”
Accordingly, after the
MPs’ questions and statements at the plenary session of the State Great Khural, the newly appointed Members of Government took
an oath.
The new Government has
16 Ministries and 19 Ministers, composed of 16 Ministers from the Mongolian
People’s Party, two members from the National Labor Party (Hun Party), and one
Minister from the Civil Will Green Party. Out of the 19 Ministers, ten ministers
are reappointed, while nine ministers are newly appointed.
The National Committee for Monitoring and Evaluation, the National Committee for Port Revival and the 20-Minute City National Committee, which had Ministers in charge of the corresponding issues, were dissolved.

In his address to the
newly appointed Members of the Government, Prime Minister Zandanshatar highlighted,
“In the time of achievements, lessons learned, and challenges, we should work
smarter, more rightfully, and more productively. Therefore, I would like to ask
all of you, the Members of the Government work together with one heart for the
sake of our country and people, being in favor of harmony and unity as well as prioritizing
consensus and mutual understanding.”
