Mongolia’s Pavilion at Osaka-Kansai Expo Draws 2.2 Million Visitors

Ulaanbaatar, July 28, 2025 /MONTSAME/. More than 2.2 million people have visited the Mongolian Pavilion at the ongoing Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025 in Japan.

 

Since its opening on April 12, 2025, the World Expo has attracted more than 12.5 million visitors overall. The Mongolian Pavilion is managed by Director of the Exhibition Department of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Battulga Chinbat, along with staff members A. Gankhuleg, Ts. Khulan, and T. Tuvshinjargal. According to the team, “Visitors from Japan often associate Mongolia with its traditional gers, the Morin Khuur (horsehead fiddle), and sumo grand champions Asashoryu Dagvadorj and Hakuho Davaajargal. Many guests have also shown interest in are Mongolian traditional dried curds (aaruul), which gained attention during the State Visit of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito to Mongolia in July 2025, where he personally sampled the delicacy.

 

Mongolia’s presence at this year’s Expo is a joint effort of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chinggis Khaan National Museum. The pavilion is located in the “Commons D” section of the exhibition area.

The Osaka-Kansai Expo will run until October 13, 2025.
