Ulaanbaatar, October 28, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Embassy of Mongolia in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with the Administration of Prague 6 Municipal District, Galerie Villa Pellé, and the Senior Citizens’ Club, organized a cultural event to promote Mongolia and commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic on October 21, 2025.

In his remarks, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Czech Republic, Gansukh Damdin, underscored the significance of 2025 as the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. To mark this milestone, the President of Mongolia, Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, paid a State Visit to the Czech Republic at the invitation of President Petr Pavel. The visit featured the inauguration of the “Chinggis Khaan” international exhibition at the Czech National Museum and a cultural concert, ”The Beautiful Country of Mongolia” by the Morin Khuur Orchestra at the Presidential Palace and the Rudolfinum Philharmonic Hall.

Ambassador Gansukh Damdin also highlighted notable achievements in bilateral cooperation, including the Takhi reintroduction project led by the Prague Zoo and the historic discovery of the Erdenet copper deposit by a joint Mongolian-Czechoslovak geological team. The Erdenet deposit remains a cornerstone of Mongolia’s mining sector and a major contributor to the national economy.

The event featured a presentation in Czech by sworn court translator Myanganbayar Batjargal, who introduced Mongolia’s national culture, literature, traditional attire, and the “Three Manly Games” –traditional Mongolian sports of wrestling, horse racing, and archery.

Artist B. Khosbayar captivated the audience with a performance blending morin khuur (the horse-head fiddle) with khuumii (throat singing), while artist D. Unent, a graduate of the Czech Academy of Fine Arts, presented a curated selection of his paintings.

Guests enjoyed traditional Mongolian cuisine and tea, thoughtfully prepared by the “Ger Camp” team.
