New parliament members receive their temporary certificates

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ 76 Winners of the 2016 parliamentary elections received today (July 1) at Columned Hall of the Government Palace their temporary certificates of members of the State Great Khural, the Mongolian legislature.

While handing over the certificates, chairman of the General Election Commission Ch.Sodnomtseren informed that the winning candidates’ names will be officially submitted to the President Ts.Elbegdorj in order for the official certifications to be issued.

Most of the new MPs have part in the ceremony, while some candidates are still in remote areas. Among the members, S.Javkhlan, the only independent candidate who secured a seat in the parliament, wore the traditional costume –deel.
