Mongolians claim 75 career championships in professional sumo

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Yokozuna-titled Kakuryu M.Anand secured the championship of the Kyushu Basho on a day before the final, having beaten Ozeki-titled Goiedo. Mongolian sumo wrestler M.Anand is the 71st Grand Champion of Japanese professional sumo.

He ended this month’s basho with 14 wins and 1 defeat, claming his third career win in the highest division of professional sumo.

There are four Mongolian Grand Champions in Japanese professional Sumo. The latest championship by Yokozuna Kakuryu was the 75th career championship claimed by Mongolian sumo wrestlers in the highest division.
